Oprah Tells Fans To Channel Sadness Into Hopeful Energy; Reveals Her Tasty Post-Show Indulgences

Oprah gave out her e-mail address during her final “The Oprah Winfrey Show” on Wednesday, inviting fans to stay in touch, and the queen of daytime has made good on her promise to correspond.

In an E-mail sent on Thursday, Oprah thanked her legions of devoted “friends” and offered a glimpse into her first post-show daily activities.

“I want you to know, the best gift you could give me are your wonderful words,” the E-mail read. “I’ve been sitting in cold, rainy, Chicago drinking Chai Tea.. (and yes splurged on a croissant) reading all your wonderful emails. I am deeply moved.”

The 57-year-old veteran host also pleaded with followers who may be feeling “sad to see the show leave,” to stay positive.

“Instead of sadness, I hope you will channel the energy of hopefulness you received from the show in whatever form it gave to you. No sadness from me, I look forward to my NEXT CHAPTER on OWN.”

Additionally, Oprah said she had paid a visit to her mother, and now plans to “Take a break, find some sun, and get some REST.”

“Don’t think I’ll be emailing on vaca. But will be in touch when I return,” she added.
