‘Parenthood’s’ Lauren Graham Opens Up About Her New Man

Lauren Graham is opening up about her romance with “Parenthood” co-star Peter Krause.

The couple initially met in 1995, but in a new interview with Redbook magazine’s October issue, Lauren explained that the ‘90s “timing wasn’t right.”

“I remember one day he asked me over to his house to play a board game – and that’s exactly what we ended up doing,” Lauren told the mag of her history with Peter.

“I was like, ‘This guy doesn’t like me,’ but I was also like, ‘Who actually plays a board game?’” she laughed.

The former “Gilmore Girls” star — who plays the sister of Peter’s character on their hit NBC drama — said that working alongside her beau has its perks.

“You can be dismissive and obnoxious to them and no one can blame you,” she laughed. “But you can only get away with that on camera.”

Lauren said achieving success in her career has helped her be open to spending time nurturing a relationship.

“I am proud of the things I’ve done,” she told the mag. “It takes the edge off work as a main focus and allows space for a more balanced life.”

Catch Lauren on the Season 2 premiere of “Parenthood” on September 14 on NBC, and read the full interview in Redbook when it hits newsstands on September 21.
