Patti LaBelle’s On-Stage Bathroom Break Revelation: I Used A Bucket & Kept On Singing!

Patti LaBelle might be a music legend, but when a woman has to go, she’s gonna go – bathroom or not!

The singer, who turns 70 this week, stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Thursday, where she chatted about her Patti’s Good Life line of BBQ and hot sauces and Broadway show “After Midnight,” but it was her less-than-diva-moment reveal that shocked Billy Bush and Kit Hoover.

“I had to go to the ladies room and they didn’t have one close, it was an outdoor gig,” she said when asked about the craziest thing she had ever done while performing.

“My friend Norma, who had been doing my hair for 40 years, brought me a bucket to the side where the dressing areas were,” she explained. “I used a bucket! Nobody knew. They thought I was going back to change clothes.”

Of course, Patti kept her pee break as classy as possible.

“She covered me. Everybody stood around with their backs turned. I had to go,” she told Billy and Kit.

And, of course, Patti didn’t let the music stop despite her impromptu bathroom break.

“[I] kept the song going after that honey! I kept singing, the band was playing and Patti was doing her thing,” she added with a laugh.
