Pitt & Jolie Take The Family Sightseeing In India

Actress Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt went
sightseeing over the weekend in Mumbai, where Jolie was to shoot scenes for a movie about slain journalist Daniel Pearl.

Newspapers published pictures of 5-year-old son Maddox perched on Pitt’s shoulders and Jolie carrying 18-month-old daughter Zahara as they stepped out of their luxurious hotel in downtown Mumbai on Sunday.

They visited a popular Mumbai restaurant where Pearl, also a musician, often played violin or mandolin with a group of friends. Jolie and Pitt were also accompanied by 5-month-old Shiloh Nouvel.

The couple and their children arrived in Mumbai after shooting the movie for nearly a month in the western Indian city of Pune. Pune was chosen because of its resemblance to Pakistan’s city of Karachi, where Pearl was abducted and killed in 2002 while
researching a story on Islamic militancy.

The movie is based on an adaptation of Mariane Pearl’s book, “A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life and Death of My Husband Danny Pearl.” Jolie plays Mariane Pearl and Dan Futterman portrays Daniel Pearl.
