Portia de Rossi Joins ‘Nip/Tuck’ Cast

Portia de Rossi will join the cast of the hit F/X drama “Nip/Tuck,” it was announced today in the Hollywood Reporter.

The actress and real-life partner of Ellen DeGeneres will play a manipulative lesbian mom whose teen daughter wants to have plastic surgery.

Portia, who rose to fame on “Ally McBeal,” most recently starred in the FOX comedy “Arrested Development.”

In other “Nip/Tuck” casting news, AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman confirmed Rosie O’Donnell will return to the cast for several episodes as lottery winner Dawn Budge.

Rosie will play the love interest to guest star Oliver Platt. Platt plays the Executive Producer of a TV show in which the docs of McNamara/Troy become creative consultants. Platt’s character is loosely based on “Nip/Tuck” creator Ryan Murphy.

And you’ll never guess the next procedure Rosie undergoes on the show? For all the details, check our Laura’s Dish of Salt!
