Rachael Leigh Cook and Daniel Gillies have welcomed their first child – a bouncing baby girl.
Daniel — who stars in The CW’s new “Vampire Diaries” spinoff “The Originals” — confirmed the news on Twitter on Sunday.
“it’s a girl. the tiny new empress of my everything,” he Tweeted. “She’s immaculate. we’re delirious.”

Rachael and Daniel revealed they were expecting back in May.
During a visit to Access Hollywood Live in July, “Perception” star Rachael revealed she was experiencing the symptoms of pregnancy brain.

“There’s nothing up there,” she said at the time.
“I found my keys in the fridge yesterday,” she added, with a laugh. “I’m not proud!”
The then-mom-to-be explained that she wasn’t super nervous about giving birth, but more worried about what comes after.
“I’m less nervous about the getting it here, than I am about the keeping it alive part,” she said.
“The Originals” premieres October 3 at 9/8c.
