Rachel Weisz & Darren Aronofsky Split

Rachel Weisz and Darren Aronofsky have split, reps for the couple confirmed to Access Hollywood.

“Rachel Weisz and Darren Aronofsky have been separated for some months,” reps for the couple said in a joint statement to Access on Tuesday. “They remain close friends and are committed to raising their son together in NYC.”

The couple was together for 9 years, becoming engaged in 2005, although they never married.

The actress and the director are parents to Henry Chance, 4.

Rachel and Darren teamed up for 2006’s “The Fountain,” which paired the British actress opposite Hugh Jackman.

Darren is reportedly set to direct Rachel in “Jackie,” a film looking at the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the days that followed, from former First Lady Jackie O’s point of View. The project is said to be in development.

Rachel was last seen on the big screen in “The Lovely Bones,” opposite Mark Wahlberg. Her next movie, “The Whistleblower,” a thriller alongside “Sherlock’s” Benedict Cumberbatch, hits theaters next year.

As for Darren, his latest directing venture – “The Black Swan” – about a pair of rival ballerinas, starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, opens on December 3.
