‘Real Housewife’ Sonja Tremont-Morgan Reportedly Files For Bankruptcy

Another “Real Housewives” star has been living beyond her means!

According to The Wall Street Journal, “The Real Housewives Of New York City’s” Sonja Tremont-Morgan reportedly filed for bankruptcy protection on Wednesday.

“The decision to seek bankruptcy relief was not an easy one, but unfortunately, I am at a crossroads in my life,” Tremont-Morgan said in court papers obtained by the WSJ.

The Bravo star, who was previously married to John Adams Morgan – an heir to the J.P. Morgan fortune – reportedly listed her debt as $19.8 million with $13.5 million in assets.

The single mom reportedly claimed that part of her financial woes are due to a failed movie project that was slated to star John Travolta.

“I became involved . . . with Hannibal Pictures, Inc., to make and produce a movie known as ‘Fast Flash to Bang Time,’ potentially starring John Travolta,” Morgan said in court papers obtained by the WSJ. “This movie never got off the ground.”

Hannibal Pictures filed a lawsuit against Sonja Productions and reportedly won a $7 million judgment, which Morgan is appealing.

Hannibal Pictures Chairman and CEO Richard Rionda Del Castro confirmed the lawsuit and judgment against Tremont-Morgan to AccessHollywood.com. When asked about the appeal, he said, “we are confident that justice will be served.” Rionda Del Castro also noted that he is not a fan of “The Real Housewives,” referring to the series as a “stupid show.”

Tremont-Morgan, who joined the Bravo series in Season 3, reportedly claimed her currently monthly income is $26,000 per month.

A rep for Bravo was not immediately available for comment when contacted by Access Hollywood.
