Rihanna Mourns Loss Of Grandmother; Chris Brown Offers Condolences

Rihanna’s grandmother, Clara Brathwaite – whom the superstar affectionately refers to as GranGran Dolly – has passed away.

The “Where Have You Been” singer took to Twitter on Saturday to share memories and pictures of her beloved grandma. According to GossipCop, the singer’s grandmother lost a battle with cancer.

“Goodbye #grangranDOLLY get your beauty rest until I see you,” she Tweeted on Saturday, along with multiple photos of her grandmother.

Rihanna’s ex-boyfriend Chris Brown also Tweeted about the loss, writing, “Praying for family and the lost loved one. She was like my grandmother. Love you GRAN GRAN! RIP.”

Chris’ mother, Joyce Hawkins, sent her condolences to Rihanna as well.

“ANGEL MAY GOD BE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY IN YOUR TIME OF SORROW. LOVE YOU ANGEL,” she wrote, while Rihanna replied, saying, “Thank you! Love u mama.”
