Rihanna To Perform At 2009 American Music Awards

She’s breaking her silence, and now Rihanna is also ready to return to the stage.

In her first solo public performance since her assault in February, Rihanna will take the stage at the 2009 American Music Awards on November 22 on ABC, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

It will mark an AMA return for the “Russian Roulette” singer as well, as Rihanna performed “Rehab” at the 2008 awards show and in 2007 sang “Umbrella” and “Hate That I Love You” with Ne-Yo.

At this year’s awards show, she joins an impressive list of previously announced performers, including Adam Lambert, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez and the Black Eyed Peas.

The performance will come one day before Rihanna drops her latest album, “Rated R,” on November 23.
