Robin Wright & Ben Foster End Engagement For Second Time (Report)

Has yet another Hollywood romance crumbled like a “House of Cards”?

Robin Wright and Ben Foster have reportedly called off their engagement – again.

According to People, the on-again, off-again couple split quietly “a few months ago.”

The Emmy-nominated “Princess Bride” actress and “Lone Survivor” actor first met on the set of 2011’s “Rampart” and took their relationship public after filming wrapped.

They first got engaged in early 2014 and broke it off that November, but reunited in January and attended the Golden Globes together – where Robin was up for a second statuette for her work on Netflix drama “House of Cards.”

Robin told Vanity Fair in April that she’s “never been happier” since meeting Ben.

“He inspires me to be the best of myself,” she said. “There’s so much to learn. It’s endless. How great!”

The pair is said to have kept trying to make things work despite underlying problems, according to Us Weekly.

“They gave it another go, but were still having the same issues,” a source told the mag, citing the couple’s 14-year age difference as a factor in the breakup.

“Ben was kind of immature,” the insider said. “She couldn’t deal with him anymore.”

The marriage would have been Ben’s first, and Robin’s third. She was previously wed to her “Santa Barbara” co-star Dane Witherspoon from 1986-1988, and Oscar winner Sean Penn from 1996-2010. Robin and Sean have two grown children, daughter Dylan, 24, and son Hopper, 22.
