ROLL CALL: Gwyneth Paltrow Admits, ‘I’m Just A Lush’

Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans

Gwyneth Likes To Get Her Drink On!: Gwyneth Paltrow – actress, singer, drinker! The “Country Strong” star told E!‘s Chelsea Handler during a recent interview on “Chelsea’s Big Interview Special” that she’s no stranger to throwing a few back. “I like red wine, but I’ll drink white, rose… Guinness is my favorite beer, and I love a dirty vodka martini,” the actress revealed. “I’m just a lush, basically. I’ll do whatever.” After seeing Gwyneth turn it out last week on “Glee” and the Country Music Association Awards she deserves a drink or two! We raise a glass to our GOOP Girl!

And now in a slew Hollywood reboot & prequel news!

Joss Slams The “Buffy” Reboot: Not everyone is happy about Warner Bros. announcing they’re planning on rebooting “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” “This is a sad, sad reflection on our times, when people must feed off the carcasses of beloved stories from their youths – just because they can’t think of an original idea of their own,” series creator Joss Whedon said in an e-mail message to E! Online. “I always hoped that Buffy would live on even after my death. But, you know, AFTER. I don’t love the idea of my creation in other hands, but I’m also well aware that many more hands than mine went into making that show what it was.” Joss also took time to announce plans for his own reboot. “I’m making a Batman movie. Because there’s a franchise that truly needs updating. So look for ‘The Dark Knight Rises Way Earlier Than That Other One And Also More Cheaply And In Toronto,’ rebooting into a theater near you,” he joked.

A “Potter” Reboot?: We’re not even done processing “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1” or wiping away our tears for house elf Dobby (RIP little guy!) and some are already offering up their ideas for a “Potter” reboot! Our friends at The Los Angeles Times’ Brand X have recast the wizard series with a super hero (Tobey Maguire,) vampire (Rachelle Lefevre) and a guy who once saved the universe (Michael Cera) in the title roles. Check out Brand X’s casting ideas, HERE! But keeping with Hollywood tradition, we’d like to recast the Lefevre recasting with Bryce Dallas Howard!

More “Mean Girls” Hits!: In what may be the most disturbing movie news of the week, the trailer for “Mean Girls 2” has surfaced. This straight-to-DVD sequel, coming in February 2011, stars only Tim Meadows from the original cast… though we’re pretty sure Lindsay Lohan could have used the work. Much like “fetch,” this sequel “is never going to happen” for us! See the trailer, HERE!
