OWEN UNWRAPPED: Kate Hudson reportedly received a very special birthday gift on Thursday: a visit from rumored boyfriend Owen Wilson. PEOPLE claims that Wilson was in New York for Hudson’s 28th birthday festivities last week, which included “a big dinner at [downtown restaurant] La Esquina with her closest friends,” a friend of Kate’s reportedly says, adding, “[Kate and Owen] were kissing in the corner.” While the pair has never come out officially to the public as a couple, they have been spotted together on numerous occasions over the last year. According to PEOPLE, Wilson’s younger brother, Luke, recently told them: “He seems very happy. [Kate] is a very nice girl.”

JOEY & JOHNSON JEALOUSY?: Joey Fatone and his partner Kym Johnson heat up the dance floor each week on “Dancing With the Stars,” but Fatone reportedly tells TV GUIDE that because of his boy-band past, his wife of three years does not get jealous. “She’s seen a lot of gorgeous blondes screaming for ‘N Sync, so dancing with Kym is not a big deal,” he reportedly says. However, Fatone adds that it doesn’t stop his wife (a former dancer herself) from offering him some constructive criticism: “She’ll tell me, ‘You did OK.’ And then she’ll critique me a little bit: ‘Don’t slick your hair back again, it’s not attractive. Not attractive at all.’”

SANJAYA’S HAIR-RAISING MEETING: Speaking of hair, THE NY DAILY NEWS’ RUSH & MOLLOY offer a reported tidbit from this Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, at which ousted ‘Idol’ finalist Sanjaya Malakar (known for his ever-changing hairstyles) was in attendance. According to the report, Malakar’s handlers tried to shoo away one autograph hound from his table – until the guy explained that he was the governor of New York. Having reportedly succeeded in getting an autograph from Sanjaya for his three daughters, Eliot Spitzer allegedly told RUSH & MOLLOY of the encounter, “I was trying to get a hair transplant.”

IT’S MILLER TIME: Another “transplant” took place this weekend, as VARIETY reports that Sienna Miller has replaced Lindsay Lohan in the upcoming movie “The Best Time of Our Lives.” Lohan had long been expected to play the role of Caitlin, wife to Matthew Rhys’ character (based on poet Dylan Thomas), but she and the financiers reportedly couldn’t come to a deal and she dropped out. Kiera Knightley and Cillian Murphy also star in the film, which is said to be based on a rivalry between two women over the Welsh poet.

MAYBE I WON’T HAVE WHAT SHE’S HAVING: Meg Ryan currently plays a woman who falls in love with the same man as her daughter in “In the Land of Women,” but one thing Ryan is reportedly not in love with is fame. MSNBC’s JEANNETTE WALLS reports on an interview with the “When Harry Met Sally” star in the May issue of Redbook, in which Ryan admits to being “traumatized” by becoming famous, reportedly saying, ?I would say there?s no real upside to fame. No really measurable one. There?s money, but that doesn?t necessarily come along with fame. People always say that they can get dinner reservations, but c?mon. You could always figure out some other way to dinner reservations.?

WHAT’S THAT SMELL?: If you can’t get dinner reservations, perhaps you can simply smell dinner, as TVSQUAD.COM reports that the May 3rd episode of NBC’s “My Name is Earl” will be a special “scratch & sniff” episode. In order to take part in this interactive experience, viewers will reportedly need to acquire a special scented insert card available in TV Guide magazine. According to the report, viewers will need to have their card in hand when watching the episode, and scratch the appropriate spot on the card when a cue is given on the screen.
