Rush Limbaugh & Jay-Z’s New War Of Words

Rush Limbaugh has responded to his mention in Jay-Z’s latest song, “Off That” – with an attack on the president.

“I have been mentioned in a rap song by the rapper Jay-Z. He has a new song out there. What’s the name of the song? I don’t know what the name of the song is,” he said on “The Rush Limbaugh Show” on Tuesday.

The song, which leaked earlier this week and will appear on the rapper’s much-anticipated album “The Blueprint 3,” features the verses “This ain’t black vs. white, my nigga, we off that / Please tell Bill O’Reilly to fall back / Tell Rush Limbaugh to get off my b***s / it’s 2010, not 1864.”

At least part of the verse appears to respond to FOX host Bill O’Reilly, who attacked Jay-Z in January for his freestyle during a performance of Young Jeezy’s “My President Is Black,” in which the rapper proclaimed, “No more white lies / my president is black.”

“I think it is low class,” Bill said at the time. “That was awful.”

As for Rush, he appeared honored to have made it into Jay’s song – but responded with political criticism of President Barack Obama.

“As far as I know I have never been mentioned in a rap song by anybody,” Rush said. “ I guess it means I’ve made it. I’m now in a rap tune by the famous rapper Jay-Z. I would remind the rapper Jay-Z: Mr. Z, it is President Obama who wants to mandate circumcision. We had that story yesterday; and that means if we need to save our penises from anybody, it’s Obama. I did not know I was on anybody’s b***s, either. I’m happy to know that they think I am, though! “

Rush’s reference addresses the news, reported by the New York Times on Sunday, that the Center for Disease Control and Prevention is considering the recommendation of routine circumcision for male babies in order to help reduce the spread of H.I.V. According to the Times, 79 percent of American males are circumcised.

Jay-Z’s “The Blueprint 3,” which will also feature tracks “D.O.A. (Death of Autotune)” and “Run This Town,” featuring Rihanna and Kayne West, is due on September 11.
