Sacha Baron Cohen’s ‘Dictator’ Shows Off Golden Pistol & Oscar Tickets: ‘Victory Is Ours!’

After threatening “unimaginable consequences” if he was not allowed to attend Sunday’s Academy Awards, Admiral General Shabazz Aladeen (Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest alter ego) has been granted permission to grace the famed ceremony with his presence.

“VICTORY IS OURS! Today the Mighty Nation of Wadiya triumphed over the Zionist snakes of Hollywood,” the “Dictator” Tweeted on Friday. “Evil and all those who made Satan their protector were vanquished and driven into the Pacific Sea.

“What I am trying to say here is that the Academy have surrendered and sent over two tickets and a parking pass!” he added.

The fictional Admiral General then Tweeted a photo of himself brandishing a golden pistol while showing off two tickets to the Oscars, with a caption that read, “VICTORY!”

As previously reported on, Baron Cohen was invited to attend Sunday’s Academy Awards (for his role in Best Picture nominee “Hugo”), but after the comedian revealed he planned to attend the show as his latest character (“Dictator” Aladeen) the Academy was a bit wary.

However, Access Hollywood correspondent Tim Vincent caught up with Don Mischer and Brian Grazer (who are producing this year’s Oscars) as they prepared for Sunday’s show and the pair said not only is the comedian is absolutely welcome – he will actually take the stage at some point.

“We absolutely respect him as an artist and he’s allowed to come,” Grazer said. “He’s coming. In fact, he’s even part of the, there’s a piece — he’s part of the show… as himself.”
