LOS ANGELES (March 9, 2007) — It’s a double dose of good news for Salma Hayek.
Not only is the actress engaged? but she’s also pregnant, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
“Businessman, François-Henri Pinault, and his fiancée, Salma Hayek, are happy to announce they are expecting the arrival of their first child,” Hayek’s rep told Access.
The news, first reported by New York Daily News columnist Ben Widdicombe, comes just days after a photo of Hayek made the Web rounds prompting speculation that she was expecting.
Hayek and Pinault have been a relatively lo-pro couple, although Salma has accompanied her man to various public events.
Pinault, 44, is the CEO of PPR, a luxury goods firm which owns Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, as well as a French department store and a national music chain.
Hayek, 40, is busy with her latest project “Ugly Betty,” the hit ABC show which she executive produces and also guest stars. Her film credits include “Bandidas,” “Frida,” and “54.”
She previously dated Edward Norton from 1999 – 2003 and Josh Lucas, whom she split from in 2004.
