Sarah Jessica Parker Talks CW’s Carrie Diaries: It’s ‘Odd’

Sarah Jessica Parker brought Carrie Bradshaw to life on the small screen, so how does the actress feel about The CW’s “Sex and The City” prequel show, “The Carrie Diaries”?

“I’m not sure… You know, I think it’s one of those tests of your generosity,” SJP reportedly said in a new interview with fashion website Net-A-Porter’s magazine, of “The Carrie Diaries,” which stars AnnaSophia Robb as a high school-aged Carrie.

Sarah Jessica said that while she supports AnnaSophia, she admitted it’s still tough to grasp the idea of the new series.

“She [AnnaSophia] is a lovely girl and I want her to feel good about it, but it’s… odd,” she said.

As for her personal life, SJP said she’s been shocked at the difference between raising boys versus girls (she and husband Matthew Broderick have a 10-year-old son, James Wilkie, and welcomed twin girls Marion and Tabitha via surrogate in June 2009).

Not surprisingly, the stylish star said her 3-year-old girls get in heated debates over fashion!

“Oh my God! I don’t know what happens in other homes, but in mine, [raising girls] is very, very different and much harder,” she said, adding that she “probably deserves it.” “The emotions run so much higher. The arguing about clothes? I am stunned.”

Adding, “We have a whole fashion system to try and override the fighting.”
