‘Shadowhunters’ Renewed For Season 3

The “Shadowhunters” will continue to battle evil for another season!

On Friday, Freeform confirmed it had picked up Season 3 of the show.

The new season will debut on the cable network in 2018.

The cast is currently shooting the second half of Season 2 in Toronto, and first announced the news during a Facebook Live. 

“We just had a meeting right now,” Isaiah Mustafa said, hinting at the news.

Katherine McNamara then revealed more episodes were on the way.

“We have 20 more episodes,” she said, something Matthew Daddario also confirmed.

The cast also answered questions about the upcoming second half of Season 2, including what it’s been like to work with “The Vampire Diaries'” Paul Wesley, who directed one episode, and Will Tudor, who will appear in the new episodes.

“It’s been great to have some fresh blood on the show,” Katherine said to laughs.

“Shadowhunters” returns Monday, June 5 at 8/7c on Freeform.
