Shania Twain Joins 'The Voice' As Key Adviser For Top 12 Artists

Shania Twain is ready to "Come on Over" to "The Voice."  

The music superstar will join the reality singing competition as key adviser on the April 24 live telecast, NBC revealed on Thursday. According to a network press release, Shania is set to guide the Top 12 artists who will be revealed through real-time voting during the live playoff rounds airing April 17 and April 18.

Shania also shared the news with her social media followers, many of whom expressed hope that the singer's "Voice" appearance could tie in with the long-awaited release of her fifth album.

"Excited to announce that I'll appear on @nbcthevoice this month, as a mentor to the finalists," she wrote on Twitter and Instagram. 

The Canada native is the top-selling female country artist of all time, with more than 100 million global album sales. In addition to five Grammys, Shania has also taken home Billboard's Women in Music Icon Award and is CMT's only female Artist of a Lifetime Award recipient.

She joins an impressive lineup of past key advisers for "The Voice," including Taylor Swift, Coldplay's Chris Martin, Rihanna and more.

"The Voice" airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC.
