Newlywed Shannen Doherty is still feeling the wedded bliss!
The former “Beverly Hills, 90210” actress and new star of WE tv’s “Shannen Says” stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Tuesday, where she shared her nuptial joy.
“The most important thing is the amount of respect that we have for each other,” she told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover, referring to husband Kurt Iswarienko.
“He respects me. I respect him,” she continued. “We cherish and love each other and it’s the closest thing that I could ever have to what my parents had.”
The 40-year-old actress, who wed in Malibu, Calif. in October, said this union felt different than her two previous marriages (Shannen was also married to Ashley Hamilton and Rick Salomon, both were short-lived unions.)
“We wrote our own vows and everything we said to each other was so honest and true,” she explained. “It feels to me like it’s the first time I’ve been married.
“Maybe it’s the fact that I had such an amazing example. My parents were married for 43 years and are still married even though my dad passed away,” the actress explained with great emotion. “My mom’s dedication to my dad to this day is inspiring to say the least.”
The star revealed to Billy and Kit that she opted to not have a pre-nup.
“When you have the right person in your life that you want to be married to forever, I don’t see the point [of a pre-nup],” she added.
“Shannen Says” premieres Tuesday on WE tv at 10/9c.
