Sharon Osbourne Tweets She’s Leaving America’s Got Talent

Sharon Osbourne has suggested she will be departing “America’s Got Talent.”

“My darling @HowardStern, money is not the reason I’m not returning to @nbcagt, it’s because…” Osbourne wrote cryptically on Twitter on Tuesday, not finishing her sentence.

Her Tweet was apparently in response to Stern speaking about her potential departure on Monday’s “The Howard Stern Show” on SIRIUS XM Radio.

NBC’s President of Alternative and Late Night Programming, Paul Telegdy, was at the Television Critics Association summer tour on Tuesday and had no formal comment on Osbourne’s Tweet.

He did, however, tell Access, “We love her and she’s a big part of the show.”

“America’s Got Talent” moved its home base from Los Angeles to New York City to accommodate this season’s freshman judge Howard Stern.

Stern reportedly signed just a one year contract.

Speaking at the NBC Executive Session at the TCAs earlier on Tuesday, in response to a question from a reporter for the New York Post, Telegdy said he’d welcome Stern back.

“We’d be delighted if Howard wants to come back,” he said during the panel.

As for Osbourne, who is based in Los Angeles, her son, Jack, recently revealed he has multiple sclerosis. She also became a grandmother for the first time earlier this year when her son’s fiancee, Lisa Stelly, gave birth to baby Pearl Osbourne in April.
