Sophie Turner On ‘Bigger’ ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 5, Jean Grey In ‘X-Men’ Role

Sophie Turner says The Stark young women have big storylines ahead when “Game of Thrones” returns for Season 5 on April 12.

“Arya has an incredible storyline this year, I have to say,” Sophie told Access Hollywood on the red carpet at the Entertainment Weekly pre-SAG Awards party at the Chateau Marmont on Saturday night. “Sansa has an amazing storyline as well. A lot of hard stuff hitting home, but that’s just ‘Game of Thrones,’ isn’t it?”

Asked for her best tease for Season 5, Sophie, who plays Sansa (Maisie Williams plays Arya), said things will amp up again.

“I was on my way to an audition and I was getting out of the car,” Sophie said, about where she was when Bryan’s Tweet went out.

The actress said her agent called her up and said, “‘Have you heard the news?'”

“She was like, ‘Check your Twitter!’ So then, I checked it and… I was just getting like, ‘Congratulations Jean Grey,'” Sophie said. “Then I just started crying and I messed up the whole audition because I was just like, ‘I can’t speak!'”

Sophie said she has seen Famke Janssen’s portrayal of Jean in past “X-Men” films and said the actress’ performance was “amazing.”
