SPOILER: ‘The Voice’ Eliminates Four Contenders In March Toward Semi-Finals

“The Voice” is gearing up for the semi-finals, but it will do so without four contestants.

Two singers from both Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera’s teams were eliminated on Tuesday night.

Going home on Christina’s team were pint-sized pop singer Raquel Castro and teen Lily Elise, and leaving Blake’s band were country crooner Patrick Thomas and rocker Jared Blake.

Carson Daly revealed that America’s votes over the last week had saved Beverly McClellan, the shaved-head rocker on Christina’s team, and Dia Frampton from Blake’s bunch, the pretty brunette who took on Kanye West’s “Heartless” last week.

As for their own picks, Christina chose former “American Idol” contender Frenchie Davis to continue on, while Blake chose high school student Xenia.

Beyond the saves and eliminations, the contestants being mentored by Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine competed.

Among the standouts were Cee Lo’s spitfire, Vicci Martinez, who brought a soulful presence to Dolly Parton standard “Jolene,” and Adam’s singer Javier Colon, who moved the full judges panel by covering Sarah McLachlan’s “Angel.”

Voting on the show will continue through Monday, with four more contestants going home next week.
