‘Sweetie Pie’s’ BBQ Recipes

Miss Robbie and Mr. Tim from OWN’s “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” dropped by Access Hollywood Live to share some of their favorite barbecue dishes.

Sweetie Pie’s Tender Oven Baked BBQ Ribs

  • 2-4 lbs of boneless beef or pork ribs
  • Salt, sugar and paprika (to taste)
  • 1 cup of pineapple juice

Preheat over to 250F. Mix equal amount of salt and sugar, add paprika to taste. Wash 2-4 1bs boneless beef or pork ribs. Roll ribs in salt/sugar mixture and pour pineapple juice over ribs. Put in a baking pan in about 1 inch of water (or halfway for each rib). Bake at 250 degrees for approximately 1 hour. Remove from oven. Drain and add your favorite BBQ sauce as needed. Increase heat to 400F. Bake 20-30 minutes, or until done. Remove from heat and serve.

Miss Robbie’s Baked Corn on the Cob

  • 1 envelope of onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 4 medium ears of corn

Mix one envelope of onion soup mix with 1/2 cup of melted butter. Wash four medium ears of corn, removing all silk. Place corn individually on separate heavy duty sheets of aluminum foil. Liberally spread onion soup mixture over each ear of corn. Place in preheated 350 degree oven for 25 minutes and bake until tender. Turn corn several times to ensure even baking. Serve hot.

Miss Robbie’s Baked Beans

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 15 oz cans of baked beans.
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 1/2 cups ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • Seasoning salt and pepper (to taste)

Dice 1 green pepper and 1 onion. Place the diced pepper, onion and 1 pound of ground beef in a frying pan and fry until beef is cooked. In a casserole dish pour two cans of baked beans, the cooked beef mixture, 1 1/2 cups of ketchup, 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 stick of butter and mix thoroughly. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Miss Robbie’s Pear Cobbler

  • 2 pre-made pie crusts
  • 16 oz can of sliced pears
  • 1/3 cup of water
  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 1 TBS flour
  • 1 TBS cinnamon
  • 1 TBS sugar
  • 1 TBS nutmeg
  • 3 TBS vanilla flavoring
  • Stick and a half of butter

Lay a pre-made pie crust in the bottom of a standard square pan. Add in a 16 oz can of sliced pears3. Add in 1/3 cup of water. Add in 1 1/2 cups of sugar. Add in 1 TBS of flour, 1 TBS of cinnamon , 1 TBS of nutmeg and 3 TBS of vanilla flavoring and a stick and a half of butter and mix well. Cover with a second pre-made pic crust. Lightly glaze the top with melted butter and top with a mixture of 2 TBS each of cinnamon and sugar. Bake on 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
