LOS ANGELES (March 22, 2007) — Britney Spears has had more than her fair share of problems lately, but she’s certainly not music’s first shining star to battle drug and alcohol problems.
In fact, her recent travails have reminded many of country star Tanya Tucker’s similar problems in her career. The similarities are so striking that even Britney’s dad reportedly reached out to Tucker for advice.
But he’s not the only one – the media has also come calling.
On Saturday, Fox News will feature Tanya in a primetime special called “Britney Spears: Toxic Exposure.”
The show will parallel Britney and Tanya’s lives, from early childhood success, to similar similar stints in rehab and through their steps to recovery.
Brit’s mom, Lynn Spears, will also appear in the special, along with other former child stars including Debbie Gibson, Christopher Knight and Danny Bonaduce.
“Britney Spears: Toxic Exposure” will air Saturday, March 24th at 9pm (ET) and again on Sunday, March 25th at 4pm (ET).
