Terrence Howard’s ‘Empire’ Not Being Scaled Back In Season 2

Lucious Lyon will not be tamed!

Despite rumblings that the size of Terrence Howard’s role in Season 2 of Fox’s “Empire” would dramatically change, Access Hollywood has learned otherwise.

“Rumors that Terrence’s role in ‘Empire’ will be scaled back are patently untrue, as audiences will see when the series returns Wednesday, September 23 on Fox,” a Fox rep said in a statement to Access.

The series, which earned an Emmy nomination for series star Taraji P. Henson, will return in a big way this month with a star-studded list of actors and singers making cameos including Mariah Carey, Pitbull, Chris Rock, Kelly Rowland, Marisa Tomei, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and Adam Rodriguez.

“Empire” Season 2 premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 9 PT/ET on Fox.
