The Sorrentinos Rate ‘The Situation’s’ ‘Dancing’ Performance

“Jersey Shore’s” Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino may not be the highest charting celebrity on the “Dancing with the Stars” leaderboard, but his family still thinks he’s No. 1.

“Yeah! That’s my son,” Mama Linda Sorrentino told Access Hollywood of her boy and the moves he showed off on Monday’s “DWTS.” “He’s a ladies man.”

“Every season I’m rooting for someone and this time I’m rooting for my brother,” Mike’s sister Melissa added at a viewing party filmed for Access Hollywood’s Tuesday show.

Mike’s brother, Frankie, was also impressed with The Sitch’s fox trot to the Black Eyed Peas’ hit “Boom Boom Pow!”

“I’m blown away,” Frankie noted.

Monday was “The Situation’s” third dance in the competition with professional partner Karina Smirnoff and Mama Sorrentino said she saw a big difference in her boy’s ballroom moves.

“This had to be the best dance and I thought he did great,” she said. “I’ve seen the improvement each week and I thought the judges did too.”

The reality star did improve – 20 is The Sitch’s best score to date, but Access had to ask what Mama Sorrentino thought of her son’s penchant for showing off his abs.

“He’s really proud of his body and [stays] in shape by going to the gym — he’s really worked hard at that too,” she said.

After the show, by phone, the family told Mike exactly what they thought.

“I’m so proud of you,” Melissa told her brother. “You did so great. We were jumping up and down. You did amazing, you looked great.”

Mama Sorrentino had similar praise for her “Jersey Shore” son.

“I’m so proud of you. You did an absolutely great [job],” she said.
