‘The Tonight Show’ Cancels Taping After Jimmy Fallon Injures Hand

Friday’s taping of “The Tonight Show” has been canceled while host Jimmy Fallon recovers from a hand injury.

NBC’s late-night talk fest confirmed the news via Twitter on Friday morning, telling followers Fallon is “totally fine.” Other reports, including Variety, said the incident led to a hospital visit and minor surgery.

The 40-year-old was spotted out and about on New York City’s Upper East Side on Thursday evening, and stopped for pictures with fans at Scalinatella restaurant prior to his injury.
