He was just announced as People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive and the “The Voice” finalists could not be more proud of coach Adam Levine for winning the title.
As the news leaked out slowly online on Monday, I spoke with the contestants backstage after their performances. Each had their own unique take on what makes Adam so darn hot!
“We all want to look like Adam Levine,” admits Team Blake Shelton’s Cole Vosbury. “He’s sexy looking. He sings sexy. He writes sexy songs. He’s a sexy dude, I get it.”
Cole’s Team Blake teammate Austin Jenckes (who unfortunately was eliminated last night from the show — but performed on Wednesday’s Access Hollywood Live) thinks it’s Adam’s personality that shines the brightest.
“I think people talk about how he is well-dressed and his trimmed little beard and all that stuff and I think he is a good looking man,” Austin told me. “But his personality is just very gravitating and you want to be around him. I’ve gotten to spend some time with him and he just makes people laugh and he is just a cool guy… but not too cool!”

Even the young contestants understand Adam’s appeal.
“It’s probably his Polos,” joked Team CeeLo’s Caroline Pennell. “He wears a lot of Polos! And It’s his boyish charm.”
“He’s actually really down to earth too,” added Team Christina’s Jacqui Lee. “He’s funny. He’s witty but he is not too funny and not to witty so there is mystery there!”
Of course, it’s no surprise Team Adam’s three contestant left in the competition, who have spent the most time with the Maroon 5 frontman, had glowing things to say.

“I think he is just a cool guy,” said Tessanne Chin. “I think when you are a cool guy but also a hot guy that makes you even more sexy.”
James Wolpert chalked it up to Adam’s charm and wit, noting, “He is completely uninhibited when he is in front of just millions of people and dude he is absolutely the sexiest man alive!”
Will Champlin said it best, stating simply, “He’s a rock star. That’s what every woman in the world loves.”
True.
