Tim McGraw Rooting On Connie Britton’s Drama Nashville

Tim McGraw is cheering on ABC’s new country-flavored drama, “Nashville.”

“Anything that really helps out Nashville and helps out the community [is good],” Tim told Access Hollywood on Monday as he promoted his new gig – an upcoming 10-weekend series of shows with wife Faith Hill at The Venetian in Las Vegas.

“There’s a great community of talent, as far as actors and backline people, production people, who work on TV shows and film,” Tim continued of the talent in the home of country music.

While he and his wife, Faith, who bears a physical resemblance to “Nashville” star Connie Britton, told Access they wouldn’t want to cameo on the show, the cowboy hat-wearing singer said he continues to root it on.

“I hope it does well, because that just helps Nashville. That’s our home, and that’s where we live,” he said. “We’ve got a lot of great friends there, who work behind the scenes and those kind of things. So I just hope it does well.”

He may not have an interest in appearing in the show about Rayna James, a fading superstar, played by Connie, and Juliette, the young upstart played by Hayden Panettiere, but he does have an imprint on the premiere episode.

The pilot features the song “Feel Like A Rockstar,” Tim’s duet with Kenny Chesney.
