Tim Tebow Had ‘A Great Time’ With Jimmy Fallon: ‘What A Great Guy’

Weeks after Jimmy Fallon mocked Tim Tebow in a parody performance of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” (as “TeBowie”), the Denver Broncos quarterback appeared on the late night show and deemed Jimmy’s performance “pitchy.”

“I tried to have fun with it,” Tim told Access Hollywood, during an interview in Indianapolis on Thursday of his “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” experience. “I think we gave each other a hard time and it was just something that was real relaxed, real casual and very enjoyable.”

Adding, “I hope he just didn’t take offense to it. He was very funny, and we just sat back there and had a few laughs and it was pretty cool.”

The NFL star said he had a great time with Jimmy and his audience.

“It was a lot of fun and what a great guy,” Tim said. “He’s extremely nice and very funny, and it was a great crowd as well. [I] had a great time.”

The 24-year-old outspoken Christian also weighed in on spurring the phenomenon of “Tebowing” – (striking a prayer-like pose on one knee) — a position he can often be seen assuming on the sidelines during games.

“I think it’s cool,” he told Access. “It’s something that people are thinking about and I’m just proud to be part of it and people thinking about prayer. A lot of pretty cool people have done it, so it’s been fun.”

As for his amazing first year in the NFL, Tim said despite all of the fame and attention, he keeps his ego in check.

“You know, something I realized a long time ago was just because you play football doesn’t make you any better or any more special than anybody else,” Tim told Access. “We’re just blessed to play a game that we love and I’m very thankful to do that.”
