Tina Fey: Bill Cosby Jokes Not Off Limits At The Golden Globes 2015

Tina Fey has a policy when it comes to hosting the Golden Globes: celebrities in the audience need not fear her nor co-host Amy Poehler.

“Amy and I have always said that the idea [is] that we don’t want anyone attending to be scared to be there because of us. It’s a party and it’s — in the grand scheme of the world, it couldn’t be less important and I think that’s what makes it fun,” Tina told Access Hollywood on Wednesday as she promoted the Netflix series she executive produces with Robert Carlock, the “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” at the Television Critics Association Winter Tour.

But, Access did learn that there could be jokes about one celebrity in the news – Bill Cosby.

“Oh heck yes!” Tina replied when Access asked about Cosby jokes.

“I missed this. What’s going on with Cosby?” Tina’s fellow EP Robert jokingly asked.

“I don’t know. I’ll tell you later,” she joked back.

(Tina and Robert’s former show, “30 Rock,” famously made news in the fall when people pointed out that the show, five years ago, had a joke about Cosby).

Globes co-host Tina was in good spirits on Wednesday in Pasadena for TCAs as she promoted her Ellie Kemper-starring show (Tina is behind the scenes) and even joked that she was only just “gonna start writing” for Sunday’s big event.

“Amy and I, we’ll get together tomorrow? One thing I will say about us: We don’t work hard. Always know that about us,” she said.

In all seriousness though, Tina said she and the team are still fine tuning their material (Robert is also writing for the Globes again) for Sunday night.

“We’re gonna write ’til the last second and see what we get,” she said.

The 72nd Golden Globe Awards air live on NBC on January 11, 2015, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. The “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” drops March 6 on Netflix.
