Tina Fey & Steve Carell To Reteam For ‘Mail-Order Groom’

NBC’s Thursday night comedy stars are reportedly teaming up once again together on the big screen.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “The Office’s” Steve Carell and “30 Rock’s” Tina Fey are set to star in “Mail-Order Groom” from Warner Bros., a “comedy about a naive single woman who can’t find love and ends up with a husband from eastern Europe, bringing him home to the States.”

The story is reportedly being developed by Fey’s husband, Jeff Richmond. The original script was written by “30 Rock’s” Robert Carlock and Scott Silveri (“Friends”), although Glenn Ficarra and John Requa have been brought on for rewrites. No director has yet been assigned, and no official announcement has yet been released.
Tina and Steve’s respective production companies will reportedly co-produce.

The acting duo will team up on the big screen for the first time together in Twentieth Century Fox’s “Date Night,” set for release in April 2010.

Tina was last seen on the big screen in 2009’s “The Invention of Lying,” and she voices an animated character in Dreamworks Animation’s upcoming 2010 film, “Megamind.”

Steve was last seen on the big screen in 2008’s “Get Smart,” and he’ll voice an animated character in Universal’s “Despicable Me” in 2010. He’s currently filming Dreamworks’ live action film “Dinner for Schmucks.”
