Tom Hanks Confirms ‘Toy Story 4’ In The Works

Andy may have grown up, but it appears the story of Woody and Buzz Lightyear will go on.

Tom Hanks, who voices the star of the franchise, cowboy Woody, revealed another “Toy Story” is in the early stages.

“I think there will be, yeah,” Tom told the BBC’s Tim Muffet, after being asked if a fourth installment is in the works. “Yeah, yeah, think they’re working on it now. There you go.”

“Toy Story 3” ended with a grown-up Andy passing his toys on to a neighbor’s child before he left for college.

Released in 2010, the emotional film went on t become the highest-grossing animated film of all time, beating a record previously held by “Shrek 2.”

According to Box Office Mojo, “Toy Story 3” has grossed more than $1 billion worldwide.

Tom revealed the “Toy Story 4” news after being asked about becoming a grandfather.

The actor’s son, Colin Hanks, and his wife, Samantha Bryant, welcomed baby Oliva Jane Hanks on February 1, and Tom couldn’t be happier.

“When babies are only four or five months old [they] are much better than anything on television… But every moment that we spend with her, it’s better than TV,” he told the BBC.
