Travis Barker Leaves Hospital After Nine Days

Travis Barker has left the hospital in Augusta, Georgia, after only nine days, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

“Travis is doing well and was discharged this morning,” Beth Frits of the Joseph M. Still Burn center at Doctors Hospital told Access. “He has left Augusta.”

As previously reported by Access, Barker underwent several surgeries for burns over his torso and lower body, following a plane crash on Friday, Sept. 19.

He and DJ AM were severely injured in a Learjet crash in Columbia, South Carolina, which led to the deaths of pilots Sarah Lemmon and James Bland, as well as Chris Baker and Charles Still, who worked for the musicians.

One of the first responders to the crash told the Associated Press that Barker and DJ AM escaped the flaming wreckage by sliding down the jet’s wing.

“They said the plane went down. They didn’t say how or if they knew,” Lt. Jason Shumpert of the South Congaree Police Department told the Associated Press. “Once it went down, they were able to slide down the wing of the plane, and they jumped on each other to put fires on each other out and rolled around on the ground.”

DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, was released from the hospital last week and is already back home in LA.

Barker’s whereabouts have not been released, but he also lives LA.
