Vanilla Ice: ‘I See Similarities’ Between Myself & Justin Bieber

Ice, ice… Bieber?

Rapper-turned-home renovator Vanilla Ice – whose real name is Robert Van Winkle – sees his younger self in Justin Bieber.

The star of “The Vanilla Ice Project” (airing at 10 PM on Sundays on DIY) stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Tuesday, where he dished on the young pop star.

“I see similarities, I definitely see similarities. He’s a great guy. He’s doing great out there right now,” Ice told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover.

But what about Justin’s future in the public eye?

“Let’s hope that it doesn’t train wreck, you know, because I had a weekend that lasted a few years and you have to figure out your purpose in life after you’re through with your artificial life of being on stage and all the glamour and everything,” he said.

Adding, “There’s a real life in there and then you have to do that while growing up… So there’s going to be some growing pains and everybody is going to be watching. It’s going to be entertaining!”

Justin, who has been making headlines in recent weeks for some eyebrow-raising incidents (posting a photo of his backside online, stepping out in just his underwear on Monday in Miami) continued to make headlines on Tuesday, after his official fan site posted (and then removed) a photo of what appears to be the singer groping a fan’s breast.
