Vegas Oddsmakers Tap Evan Lysacek As Early ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Favorite

Evan Lysacek already has a gold medal in his trophy case – but if the oddsmakers in Las Vegas are correct, the Olympian will soon add a mirrorball trophy to his mantle.

An online wagering site, SportsBookGurus.com, has picked Evan as the favorite to win “Dancing with the Stars,” following the skater’s impressive debut on Monday night.

Evan’s odds are listed at 1.25:1, with Pussycat Doll lead singer Nicole Scherzinger not far behind at 2.25:1 and outspoken NFL star Chad Ochocinco listed as a 3:1 contender.

On Monday’s debut, it was Nicole and pro partner Derek Hough who received the highest score of the night – an impressive 25 out of 30 for their elegant Viennese Waltz.

“While most of her dance experience falls along the lines of what we like to call ‘booty dancing’, she took on ball room dancing like she had been doing it for years,” the site noted. “This was noticed not only by the audience, but by the judges as well.”

Evan and partner Anna Trebunskaya weren’t far behind, with 23 out of 30, for their own Viennese Waltz.

Pamela Anderson, who wowed the crowed – and the judges – with a sexy, hair-tossing cha cha cha worth 21 points, is considered a middle of the pack underdog, with her odds listed at 12:1.

The oddsmakers apparently don’t expect much out of reality mom Kate Gosselin – whose dance moves judge Bruno Tonioli compared to a “pushing around a shopping cart” – as Kate is listed as a 40:1 long shot.

“Kate Gosselin had every intention of coming into this competition with a playful attitude, but after last night’s performance, she proved that this competition is way more serious that she expected,” the analysis on the site said. “Talk has already begun that her time on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ will be short lived.”

The only contestants who are considered bigger underdogs to take home the “DWTS” title are comedian Niecy Nash (45:1) and astronaut Buzz Aldrin (50:1).

The full “DWTS” odds, according to SportsBookGurus.com:

Evan Lysacek – 1.25:1
Nicole Scherzinger – 2.25:1
Chad Ochocinco — 3:1
Erin Andrews — 9:1
Jake Pavelka — 12:1
Pamela Anderson — 12:1
Aiden Turner — 18:1
Shannen Doherty — 28:1
