Groot lives!
“Guardians of the Galaxy” ended (spoiler alert!) with Vin Diesel’s Groot a mere sapling, but the actor will voice the character again in the sequel!
During a fan Q & A on Wednesday, director James Gunn was asked if Vin would return as the talking tree-like alien for the upcoming film and he confirmed he’ll be back.

The actor, who only uttered six total words in the movie, “I am Groot” and “We are Groot,” recorded his lines in English, Brazilian, Portuguese, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Russian and French.
“They didn’t computerize my voice,” the actor previously told Access Hollywood in 2014, explaining what you hear in the space adventure movie is not altered. “It was just me.”

No word if Groot’s vocabulary will be expanded in the sequel!?
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” will blast into theaters on May 5, 2017.
