What Censored Question Did Ricky Gervais Ask Mel Gibson At The Golden Globes?

After years
of jabs from the Golden Globes stage, host Ricky
Gervais and Mel Gibson came face-to-face on Sunday’s show.

“A
few years ago on this show, I made a joke about Mel Gibson getting a bit drunk
and saying a few unsavory things. We’ve all done it. I wasn’t judging him, but
now I find myself in the awkward position of having to introduce him
again,” Ricky said before bringing out Mel at the 73rd annual Golden
Globes, as the audience laughed.

“Listen,
I’m sure it’s embarrassing for both of us,” Ricky continued. “And I
blame NBC for this terrible situation. Mel blames… we know who Mel
blames.”

More
laughter from the crowd, as Ricky took a drink from his beer.

“Listen,
I still feel a bit bad for it. Mel has forgotten all about it, apparently,
that’s what drinking does! I want to say something nice about Mel before he
comes out, umm, so, here you go, I’d rather have a drink with him in his hotel
room tonight than Bill Cosby,” he said before Mel took the stage.

“I love
seeing Ricky once every three years because it reminds me to get a
colonoscopy,” Mel cracked as the host left
the stage.

Ricky returned to the
stage and then asked Mel (which was censored for the broadcast), “What the
f*** does sugar***s mean?” referring to
the phrase the actor-director
used towards a female police officer when he was arrested for a DUI in
2006.

“I don’t know, ask the person who said it, it wasn’t
me,”
the actor responded.

Adding, “Thanks, Ricky, for your input.”
