Whitney Houston Being Considered For Judge’s Seat On ‘The X-Factor’ (Report)

Whitney Houston is making her grand comeback to the big screen in the upcoming musical drama, “Sparkle,” but is the superstar also reentering the world of reality TV?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the singer has been approached to fill one of the vacant judges’ seats on Simon Cowell’s “The X Factor,” following the recent exits of Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, L.A. Reid is returning as a judge for Season 2 of the FOX reality singing competition.

The Epic Records chief signed on for the second season in early February – just days after the show parted ways with Paula and Nicole, as well as host Steve Jones.

As for other possible replacements for Paula and Nicole, “X Factor” boss Cowell is reportedly considering Mariah Carey, while rumors of Beyonce being offered a jaw-dropping amount of money for the show are merely speculative.

FOX declined to comment on the reported Whitney rumor when contacted by Access Hollywood on Friday.

A rep for Cowell was not immediately available for comment.
