Wrigley’s Pulls Chris Brown Doublemint Ad

In the wake of his alleged violent incident involving girlfriend Rihanna, Chris Brown’s Doublemint gum ad has been suspended by Wrigley’s, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

“Wrigley is concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown,” a spokesperson for Wrigley’s told Access. “We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen. However, we have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved.”

Brown, 19, was arrested on Sunday night on a felony battery charge after allegedly hitting and biting Rihanna.

Both music stars were scheduled to attend the Grammys on Sunday night, however both pulled out of the event following the incident.

Ironically, Brown’s Doublemint gum ad did run during the show.

Brown turned himself into police around 6:30 PM on Sunday, the LAPD confirmed to Access. He was arrested for criminal threats and released after posting $50,000 bail.
