Zachary Quinto Confirms He’s Dating Jonathan Groff (Report)

Zachary Quinto has reportedly finally confirmed the rumors — he is dating sometime “Glee” star Jonathan Groff, according to Out magazine.

“Quinto… confirms that he is currently sharing his life with actor Jonathan Groff,” the mag wrote in a promo for its October 2012 cover story with the actor.

There’s no direct line from the “Star Trek” star about Groff, but he did say of his personal life, “I’m incredibly happy, I’m incredibly lucky.”

The two actors have been spotted by the paparazzi in recent months looking close.

Just Jared even reported in June that Groff was wearing Quinto’s T-shirt on an outing. (Click HERE to see the pic.)

While Quinto, who plays Spock in the “Star Trek” franchise, didn’t get into any real details regarding his personal life, he did open up about his decision, a year ago in October, to come out publicly.

“I thought about it as coming out from behind the wall,” he told the mag. “Walls now are only as high or as thick or as strong as we allow them to be.”

When Zachary came out, he admitted he had been deeply affected by the death of 14-year-old Jamey Rodemeyer, a gay teen who took his own life in September 2011 after being bullied. And, in the new interview with Out, the actor once again expressed his sentiment that acknowledging his sexuality could help make a positive contribution to society.

“One of the most defining conversations that I had with myself was that absolutely no good can come from me staying quiet about [my sexuality],” he continued. “Literally, no good can come from it. But if I take the step to make the acknowledgment and be honest, so much good could potentially come from it.”

Looking ahead to his future, Zachary said he’s hoping to have a bigger family one day.

“I definitely want kids… I want to share,” he said.
