Anna Faris Recalls Going Into Early Labor & Delivering Premature Son

Anna Faris appears on the March cover of Redbook and got candid inside the pages delivering her son well before the due date.

“My water broke in the middle of the night at seven months. We rushed to the hospital, and they were able to halt active labor with magnesium,” she told the mag. “I was at the hospital and the goal was to be in bed for four weeks….but on the seventh day, I went into labor again. I was in denial. For hours I was like, ‘I’m just having indigestion.’ Chris [Pratt] and I were so scared, but then Jack came out, even though he was so tiny, he looked so good to us.”

“It’s one of those things that drives you apart or makes you closer. I think that being a father is very meaningful and rewarding to Chris,” she said. “He’s a great dad. He’s a little more serious than he was before. It forces your hand. You really have to become an adult.”

Anna also provided Redbook with a photo to share on Instagram that shows what her typical family life is like at home with her husband, child and pug Bonzo. The family is pictured spending quality time together relaxing on the couch as Chris strums his guitar.

Redbook magazine Instagrammed a family photo that Anna Faris provided them with to accompany her March 2015 cover story.
