Bravo’s ‘Real Housewives’ Headed To Dallas & Potomac In 2016

The “Real Housewives” are taking two new cities by
storm!

Bravo’s hit reality franchise has announced the locations for
its upcoming installments, one of which fans may never have guessed.

The series is headed to both Dallas and Washington, D.C.
suburb Potomac, Md., in 2016, the network confirmed on Wednesday.

While Dallas has a long-standing reputation as one of the
country’s most affluent communities, Potomac will introduce viewers to a “hidden
gem,” Bravo said in a statement.

The “invitation-only” area boasts “rolling
hills, gated mansions, sophisticated prep schools and exclusive country clubs”
just miles from the nation’s capital, the statement read.

According to Executive Producer Andy Cohen, “Potomac”
could be the next big “Housewives” breakout.

“‘The Real
Housewives of Potomac’ is the show you never saw coming, and it’s going to take
everyone by surprise!” the “Watch What Happens Live” host said.

The series is Bravo’s second attempt at a Washington-area spin-off,
after 2010’s “Real Housewives of D.C” only lasted one season.

Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Robyn Dixon, Charrisse
Jackson-Jordan, Karen Huger and Katie Rost round out the “Potomac”
cast, a group of ladies whom Bravo said “have fought for their places in
this society by way of legacy or marriage” and represent the community’s
“old-line, wealthy African-American families who have historically broken racial
barriers to provide the best possible life for their children.”

As for Potomac’s Lone Star State counterparts, Cohen said
the Texas series will give a spin to the classic “Housewives” formula.

“It’s a natural extension of the franchise with a
Southern twist that ‘ya’ll’ will enjoy,” Cohen said.

While “Dallas” and “Potomac” each promise
their own fresh take, Bravo exec Shari Levine said both shows will also continue
the traditions that made “Real Housewives” such a hit in the first
place.

“‘The Real Housewives’ has become a global phenomenon
that drives cultural conversation while consistently breaking ratings
records,'” Levine said in a statement. “We’re happy to extend the
franchise with Potomac and Dallas giving Bravo fans more of what they desire:
stories of dynamic women who make us laugh, cry, cheer and experience
unforgettable moments we can’t stop talking about.”

“The Real Housewives of Potomac” premieres Sunday,
Jan. 17 at 9 PM ET/PT on Bravo, and its “Dallas” counterpart will hit
the network later in 2016.
