Former American Idol champ Carrie Underwood will drop the follow up to her debut album, Some Hearts, on October 23.
The as-yet-untitled release was produced by Mark Bright, who previously worked on seven cuts from Underwoods first effort. Bright has also produced albums for Sara Evans and Rascal Flatts.
Underwood co-wrote several of the tracks on her upcoming release, though no song titles have been announced presently. The blonde crooner previously helped write the Some Hearts, cut I Aint in Checotah Anymore.
Though hopes are high for Underwoods release, in February of this year, she told reporters she was nervous about following up her multi-platinum debut.
I think the scariest part is gonna come with album two. Ive had so much success with [Some Hearts], she said backstage at the Grammys. Im not gonna try and top the first one.
In related news, Underwood will appear at Fashion Rocks, airing September 7 on CBS.
