Country Singer Randy Rogers’ Newborn Daughter Dies

Rumer Rain Rogers, newborn daughter of country music frontman Randy Rogers, died Tuesday in Austin. She was only six days old.

Rogers and his wife, Chelsea, welcomed the baby girl June 3 and Tweeted a happy family photo shortly afterward.

The Randy Rogers Band confirmed the devastating news on Twitter on Wednesday morning, writing, “She was well loved, well cared for and in her parents loving arms.”

The popular Texas group shared a more detailed statement on their Facebook page, encouraging fans to make charitable donations in lieu of flowers or gifts.

“Rumer Rain Rogers, daughter of Randy and Chelsea Rogers, passed away last night at Seton Memorial Hospital in Austin, Texas. Rumer died of natural causes, in her parents loving arms, just days after her birth,” the post read. “During this time of grieving, the family asks that individuals wishing to offer condolences make a donation to the children’s charity of their choosing. The family thanks you for your love and support.”

In light of the tragic loss, The Randy Rogers Band has canceled a concert appearance scheduled for Friday.

Rumer was the Rogers’ second child. Their daughter River was born in 2013.
