Dish Of Salt: Gleeking Out With The Cast Of ‘Glee’

Last night was my first opportunity to Gleek out since catching up with the “Glee” cast in April. Wow! Has it really been that long?

The cast (minus Jane Lynch) gathered for a TV Academy event at the Music Box Theater in LA. I was on vacation the day Emmy nominations were announced so it was my first chance to congratulate Chris Colfer, Matthew Morrison and Lea Michelle on their acting nominations (Lynch also received one, as did guest stars Neil Patrick Harris, Kristin Chenoweth and Mike O’Malley) and the cast on the rest of their 19 total Emmy nominations.

Where was Lea Michelle (aka Rachel Berry) when she got the Emmy news and what will she be wearing on Emmy night? Check out our interview HERE.

Ryan Murphy told the fans at Comic-Con that we would finally get to meet Rachel’s two dads. Lea thinks that a quick cameo would be the way to introduce them. “My idea of meeting my dads would always be like she’d be performing on the stage and the camera would go into the audience and her dads would be waving but it would be like Elton John. It would be the fastest funniest, quickest cameo.”

Matthew Morrison is, of course, my official “TV husband” as we have determined in several interviews together (Sorry, Zach Levi I’ve moved on!) So, as I told him last night, that makes us Mr. and Mrs. Emmy nominee! Check out what Matthew has to say about this. Also, could Justin Timberlake make an appearance on “Glee” this season as his younger brother? Plus, find out what he has to say about what he was doing in Central Park when his Emmy nomination was announced, HERE.

Cory Monteith, Kevin McHale, Mark Salling and Chris Colfer will all co-host the Teen Choice Awards next weekend. Are they feeling nervous? They shared all of their anticipation with me. Plus, Chris talks about a new love interest for Kurt and Cory helps me reveal a major spoiler about John Stamos’ role on the show. Check out the interviews HERE.

Ryan also said that Heather Morris, who plays the daffy Brittany on the show, might get a smart sister this season. Heather has an idea for who should play her too. “I think Christina Applegate would be really cool,” she said. “She’s awesome.” In fact, Heather planned to pitch Ryan the idea herself right after she thought of it. I see “Glee” in Christina’s future!

“Glee” returns to FOX on September 21 and don’t forget to watch the guys on the “Teen Choice Awards” airing on FOX August 9.
