Emma Roberts & Evan Peters: Domestic Dispute Was ‘Unfortunate Incident’

Emma Roberts and boyfriend Evan Peters have spoken out regarding a domestic violence incident which resulted in Roberts’ arrest in Montreal last week.

“It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding,” reps for the couple said in a joint statement to Access Hollywood. “Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it.”

According to reports, police were called to respond to a fight in Roberts and Peters’ hotel room.

When law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, they reportedly observed Peters suffering from a bloody nose and arrested Roberts.

Roberts was released mere hours later, and a source familiar with the investigation tells Access Peters chose not to press charges.

Peters, 26, and Roberts, 22, are currently filming “American Horror Story.”

Peters has also been cast as Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver in Bryan Singer’s upcoming “X-Men: Days of Future Past” – scheduled to hit theaters on May 23, 2014.
