The “X-Files” co-stars appeared together on stage in New York City on Tuesday night, where Gillian helped out David, who was celebrating the release of his first album, “Hell or Highwater.”
The duo sang Neil Young’s “Helpless,” and then were apparently helpless to resist the emotions they were feeling… and kissed!

Though it appeared to just be a friendly peck, the co-star’s kiss is sure to have their fans reeling!
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the kissing co-stars will reunite on the small screen to reprise their Mulder and Scully roles for a six-episode event series that will premiere on Sunday, January 24, at 10 PM.
On Monday night, the series will continue for a five-week run, which will air on its regularly scheduled time at 8 PM on Fox.

The original series ran 1993-2002.
