Healthy Hollywood: Lily Aldridge’s Model Mom Secrets

Supermodel Lily Aldridge wants to be just like the rest of us working moms.

Forget the fact she’s got the super-toned statuesque body that only a few mortals possess. And, she’s both a Sports Illustrated and Victoria’s Secret model that jet sets around the globe.

At the end of the day, her greatest joy is her 2-year-old daughter, Dixie Pearl.

Lily chatted with the parenting site Cricket’s Circle and revealed her down-to-earth approach to her pregnancy and being a mom.

“I swore I was going to feed her only healthy, organic stuff, but I totally give her juice and ice cream – you have to let them be kids!” Lily reveals to the site. “Also, trying to go down those swirly slides at the park always leads to an embarrassing moment.”

While, Lily’s model life requires lots of travel, she takes her daughter everywhere, adding, “Dixie already has so many frequent flyer miles – she comes with me everywhere unless it’s a quick overnight trip. I pack tons of snacks (raisins and seaweed crisps are favorites) and download a bunch of educational apps on the iPad and let her go to town. It keeps her happy and people around us, too, since she’s not crying.”

Because of her supermodel status, Lily – who is married to Kings of Leon rocker Caleb Followill — had to get in shape four months after giving birth. And, yes, she had to work at it.

“It was hard work getting back in shape, but I did it, and I was really proud. After I gave birth I started doing Ballet Beautiful with Mary Helen Bowers, and she got me ready for the Victoria’s Secret fashion show four months post-baby. Getting back in shape with here was an amazing experience,” she revealed to Cricket’s Circle.
